Ulisse Ronzani (1927–2015) was an Italian artist, designer and art teacher associated with Lusiana and Bassano del Grappa in Veneto.
Biography
Giovanni Ulisse Ronzani was born in Lusiana in 1927 and died in Bassano del Grappa in 2015. He trained in carving and sculpture at the Salesian Istituto Conti Rebaudengo in Turin and pursued further artistic studies associated with the Istituto d'Arte Pietro Selvatico in Padua. After working as a model maker in the ceramic industry in Nove, he taught drawing while maintaining a practice across painting, sculpture and design. His pictorial work encompassed oil painting and, later, extensive work in watercolour, with a recurring attention to structure, line, geometry and circular forms. He also contributed to civic and religious art projects in the Vicenza area. Ronzani signed works using the pseudonym “Rulisse”.
